Award Ceremony
We will be having an awards night on the Thursday 13^th Oct @ 8pm in St Marys School Hall. All scouts and parents invited and to attend in full uniform

Weekend Away
On Sat 15^th Oct we will be going on a lightweight overnight to fota campsite. This means the scouts will be carrying all the gear they need for the weekend including cookers and tents. We will be meeting at Glenbrook side of the cross river ferry at 10am.  All scouts will need to bring their gear down on Friday the 14^th Oct to go through packing bags and distributing tents, cookers and food. They will need to bring a packed lunch. The gearlist is included on the back of this sheet. The cost for the weekend will be €15 per scout. For new scouts who may not have gear the Scout Shop has bundle offers on with all you need. The finish time is expected to be 16:00 on Sunday location to be confirmed.

Lightweight Gear List

• Hiking Boots
• Trousers, Tracksuit or Hiking Breeches (Not Jeans)
• Shirts (2)
• Jumper or Fleece
• Gloves
• Fleece Hat or Balaclava
• Waterproof Jacket with Hood
• Waterproof Pants
• Toothbrush, small tube of paste, small towel & small piece of soap all in a small toilet bag.
• Sleeping Bag and stuff sac (In additional plastic bag)
• Groundmat
• Fork, Spoon, Plate, Mug, Bowl
• Rubbish Bag
• Torch & spare battery/bulb
• Large Bivi Bag (Available form scout shop)
• Rucksack to hold all gear with space for more
• Heavy duty plastic bag to line Pack
